Intimidators Pick Up 3-1 Win
|
The Kannapolis Intimidators got a stellar effort from pitcher Pluto Benedith, helping Kannapolis score a win over the visiting Greensboro Grasshoppers, 3-1. Benedith got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Benedith allowed no runs. The victory gives the Intimidators a record of 86-45.
In the bottom of the second, Kannapolis first baseman DeJon Ernest had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Ernest stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 1-0, Kannapolis. For the game, he was 2-3 with a double and a walk.
"They played a better game than we did," said Greensboro skipper Bryce Scott.
