Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Gold Beach Sea Unicorns and Eugene Emeralds.

The Gold Beach Sea Unicorns locked up a win at PK Park, knocking off the Eugene Emeralds, 5-3. On the mound for Gold Beach was right-hander Jesús Ruelas. He played a major role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Ruelas, now 6-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4.

Jackson Sultzbaugh could have done more damage. In the bottom of the ninth, with Eugene trailing 5-2, Eugene had runners on 1st and 3rd. That's when Sultzbaugh grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. Gold Beach would go on to win the game.
