Thompson Plays Big Role in State College Win
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the State College Spikes got the win.

State College picked up a win at Bowman Field, toppling the Gold Beach Sea Unicorns, 4-2. Pitcher Vic Thompson was one of the reasons the Spikes triumphed. Earning his 4th save for State College was Lucas Caron.

Thompson, who was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, threw 110 pitches over 7.1 innings, while allowing no runs.

After the game, State College manager Jason Baez applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

The Spikes have a winning streak of 4 games.
