Win Makes Cavalry 36-24
|
New Westminster Cavalry starter Joshua Nadeau hurled his team past the Eugene Emeralds, 8-1. Nadeau, now 1-2, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 0, and allowing no runs. Getting the save was Brandon Strawder, his 1st.
Virgil Tennery helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give New Westminster a 1-0 lead.
"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Nadeau.
With the win, the Cavalry have a record of 36-24.
