Flying Tigers 4-2 Losers to Eugene
|
The Eugene Emeralds picked up a win at Medford Grounds, taking down the Medford Flying Tigers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Clinton Siatuu was a big reason why. Christopher Whitehead earned the save for Eugene, his 17th of the year. Eugene is now 38-21, while Medford is 22-37.
Eugene used the hitting of Brandon Lowe to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the Emeralds on top, 1-0. For the game, Lowe had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Lowe said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
