Medford 13-10 Win Hard-Earned
|
Due in large part to shortstop Stan Morton, the Medford Flying Tigers sunk the Boise Hawks, 13-10. Morton belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Kick Warner picked up the win in relief for Medford, while Dallas Berry took the loss. Medford has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
The decisive blow was delivered by Maikel Guevara in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Dallas Berry to win the game for Medford. The home crowd went nuts.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Guevara.
