Gremlins Slap 6-5 Loss on Oilers

The Youngstown Gremlins turned back the Oil City Oilers, 6-5, at The Oil Field. Aaron Solvik, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Jesse Zebley, now 5-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Youngstown is now 37-30, while Oil City is 38-29.
J.R. Ribers aided the Youngstown cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I was hoping to make good contact," said Ribers. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
