Roseburg Downs Boise, 1-0
|
Eloi Villeneuve pitched well, but the Boise Hawks still fell short, losing, 1-0, to the Roseburg Owls at Memorial Stadium. The defeat makes Boise 33-37.
Tied up with the Hawks in the top of the fifth inning, the Owls got a boost from shortstop Bobby Tabb. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Tabb saw a 1-1 slider from Eloi Villeneuve and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Roseburg on top, 1-0.
"Helping the team win is what it's all about," said Tabb.
