Frogs Win by Slim Margin, 3-2
|
The Fayetteville Frogs had to overcome a good performance from Pocatello pitcher Nick L'Ami to claim a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Pocatello. L'Ami went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Fayetteville reliever Stanly Guzman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Leonard Adams took the loss. Max Larson saved it for Fayetteville.
In the top of the seventh inning, pinch hitter Tobias Cummings came through big-time for the Frogs. With Fayetteville trailing 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said Fayetteville skipper Jim Orona.
The Frogs move to 32-33 with the win, while the Pioneers drop to 26-39.
