5 Straight Wins for Cubs
|
Starting pitcher Roland Otano took care of business, helping the Chicago Cubs stifle the New York Yankees, 5-1. The Cubs have now won 5 straight.
In the bottom of the second, Chicago shortstop Andy Washington had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and no one out, Washington stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 3-1, Chicago. For the game, he went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Washington told the Chicago Chronicle.
