Royals Lose Again, 7-3, to Cardinals
|
St. Louis parlayed a decent outing from starter Quentin Schaffer into a solid win over the London Royals. The final score was 7-3. The losses continue to add up for London, having now dropped 9 straight.
The Cardinals got a big at-bat from designated hitter Asher Gautreau. For the game, Gautreau was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 18th home run of the season gave St. Louis a 5-2 lead.
"Losing puts me in a bad mood," said London manager Steven Fahey. "And right now nobody wants to be around me."
