Raptors Lose By a Run at Idaho Falls
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars outlasted Trevor Papalia and the Ogden Raptors, 8-7. Papalia was impressive in the loss. The Ogden first baseman went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Ron Brennan closed the door for Idaho Falls, picking up his 14th save of the year. The Chukars saw their record improve to 30-38.
Rusty Hackney, who is tied for 4th in the PIO in home runs with 14, chipped in a 3-run home run for Idaho Falls in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Chukars manager Arlo Lutyans. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
