The Cheyenne Chiefs knocked off the Idaho Falls Chukars, 5-3, in Pioneer League action at Ballpark of Cheyenne. Cheyenne pitcher and Memphis, Tennessee, native Aiden Schwaller had an outstanding performance. Schwaller yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-3. Shane Harder recorded the save for Cheyenne, his 14th of the season.

Navarro Martínez had a big bases-clearing double for the Chiefs in the bottom of the third inning. With Cheyenne leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Darrel Rhys, who is tied for 2nd in the PIO in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chiefs ahead, 4-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Schwaller told the Cheyenne Gazette.

The Chiefs improved to 39-31.
