Voyagers Get Clutch Win, 4-3
|
The Great Falls Voyagers faced a tough opponent in Casper pitcher Vince Vetter, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Centene Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Vetter went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Great Falls reliever Langston Marsh got the win, raising his record to 5-0. Isaiah Pascuzzi was tagged with the loss. With this game in the books, Great Falls is 46-22, Casper 34-34.
Great Falls got a clutch hit from Alan Cross. The catcher launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Cross.
