Hamilton Advances to Regional Championship Series
|
Ralph Lawrence sparked his Hamilton Red Wings past the pesky Auburn Doubledays in a closely-contested Divisional Series.
Hamilton topped Auburn 10-2 at Falcon Park to decide the series, 4-1
For his efforts, Lawrence was rewarded with the series MVP trophy for his .368 batting average, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"You never want to leave anything on the field," Lawrence said. "You never want to miss a play of defense you could have made, or give up an extra base you could have gotten, because in a series this tight you never know what you'll need to win."
The Regional Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
