Voyagers Earn 4-2 Win Against Royals
|
The Great Falls Voyagers electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.
The Great Falls Voyagers topped the Burlington Royals, 4-2, in Pioneer League action at Centene Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Great Falls pitcher and Lafayette, Louisiana, native Cordell Wilson. With the victory, the Voyagers upped their record to 46-24.
Great Falls won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With no outs and William Lomeli on the mound for Burlington, right fielder Myer Harmon hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Voyagers fans to their feet.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Wilson. "I like it."
