Medicine Hat Gets 6-3 Win
|
Good production from designated hitter Gunner Fleury helped the Medicine Hat Stampede topple the Kingsport Mets, 6-3. Fleury was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Stampede. Medicine Hat is first in the Pioneer League North Division with a record of 48-22.
Joe Hites, the 21-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hites contributed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Medicine Hat up, 3-2.
"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Medicine Hat skipper Andy Rodgers. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
