C.J. Drake added some punch to the Tabasco offense, helping them outmuscle the Quintana Roo Kangas, 14-8. In the game, Drake, who is tied for 9th in the LLM in doubles with 7, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was Luke Barry. His record is now 2-1. The left-hander went 5 innings, allowing 6 runs on 7 hits for the Tacos. Ethan Wald was credited with the save for Tabasco, his 1st of the season.

Tabasco took a 12-8 lead on Daron Brandon's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Brandon hit in the top of the seventh, left Quintana Roo pitcher Kade Parker visibly frustrated.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Brandon told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."

The second-place Tacos raised their record to 16-14.
