McKnight Blasts Spikes, Ironbirds Take Game 4, 7-4
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot State College Spikes team, the Aberdeen Ironbirds had a tough assignment. Mark McKnight delivered.

The Ironbirds first baseman was unstoppable for the visitors, as he went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 7-4. McKnight, 24, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Aberdeen now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

McKnight had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the eighth for the Ironbirds. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Aberdeen trailing 4-3, he hit a 3-run home run.

"Postseason wins taste oh so sweet," said McKnight after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.
