Maine Breaks Through for First Win in Wild Card Series; Now Trails 2-1
|
The Maine Lobsters defeated the Oil City Oilers, 6-1 in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series today. Making an impact was shortstop Alim Morris, who was 4-4 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs. The win narrows Maine's deficit in the series to 2-1.
Maine relied on the bat of Martin Colon to get the win. The second baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Lobsters ahead, 3-0. For the game, Colon had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Morris, "and go after the next one."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Oil Field in Oil City.
