Orioles Beat Frogs, 8-1, to Start RCS
The Hampton Orioles powered past the hometown Fayetteville Frogs, 8-1, in the opener of the Regional Championship Series at Fayetteville Grounds. Hampton starting pitcher Blake Maze threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Orioles now lead the series 1-0.

Felipe Tamez was vital to the Hampton win. He went 1 for 5. In the top of the first with two out, Tamez hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the Orioles.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Hampton manager Kyle Kovac.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fayetteville Grounds in Fayetteville.
