Road Win Lifts Wenatchee to 1-0 Lead in WCS
|
The Wenatchee Chiefs powered past the hometown Kennewick Marauders, 6-1, in the opener of the Wild Card Series at Kennewick Grounds today. Wenatchee starting pitcher Hunter Stigger threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball, to lead the charge. The Chiefs now lead the series 1-0.
The Marauders had trouble solving Stigger, who surrendered no runs on 1 hit over 6 innings.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Wenatchee manager Aaron Lambert.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Kennewick Grounds in Kennewick.
