Olympia Spartans Are Champs
The Olympia Spartans pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the A- Championship Series in a hard-fought series with the Maine Lobsters.

It was a seesaw affair, but with a 2-1 victory at Portland Ballpark, Olympia lay claim to the franchise's 7th championship.

"There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Oris Vincente. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."

The champs finished the regular season 49-21 and claimed first place in the Northwest League North Division.

A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Olympia in the days to come.
