Peoria Chiefs manager Joe Long wasn't expecting much from the rookie playing in his first postseason. Maybe he should have been.

In front of a supportive hometown crowd, 22-year-old left fielder Iván Tristan humbled the visiting Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Dozer Park. Tristan belted 2 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 6 as the Chiefs shut out the Timber Rattlers by a final score of 14-2, to force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.

Andrew Alston, the 33rd overall pick in the 2062 draft, chipped in a 3-run home run for Peoria in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
