Thrice as Nice: El Paso Seizes 3-0 Advantage With Late Win
|
The El Paso Chihuahuas are now one game away from a sweep of the Edmonton Edge after a dramatic walk-off win in the 10th inning at Southwest University park today. Chihuahuas right-hander Matias Roberts earned praise in the 4-3 victory for a strong outing in which he threw 9.0 innings of 5-hit ball. El Paso holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
The clutch hit was provided by Tre Murry. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off Jerry Cumming in the bottom of the tenth.
"Put a star next to this win," Roberts said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Southwest University park in El Paso.
