Augusta Wins to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-1
Tim Steiner knew he couldn't win the series for the Augusta GreenJackets. Down 3-0, it would take a lot more than one start. The best he could do, he figured, was prevent a sweep and give the First Energy Park faithful a good time. Check and check.

The Augusta right-hander threw a complete game shutout against the red-hot Lakewood BlueClaws to get the GreenJackets on the board in the series, striking out 8 along the way. The GreenJackets will be looking to keep the momentum the next time the teams meet. With the 2-0 win, Augusta now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Augusta starter Tim Steiner pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-2 right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 9 innings.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Steiner.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at First Energy Park in Lakewood.
