Riverside Advances to Regional Championship Series
The Riverside Red Wave "bent but didn't break" against the Bakersfield Blaze in the Divisional Series.

That's according to Rush Stephens of Riverside, who was named series MVP.

"Our guys faced adversity and overcame it. This series wasn't easy, but we stuck to our game and made it work," he said.


Riverside won the final game by a 4-0 count and the series 4-2.

Stephens's MVP performance included hitting .522 with a .577 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Regional Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
