The Puebla Mermen got a sterling performance from pitcher Emmanuel Gallagher, but the Campeche Clowns still prevailed, 4-3. Gallagher threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Teo Lara, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. With the win, the Clowns have a record of 37-39.

Campeche used the timely hitting of Pablo Gómez to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Clowns on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," said Gómez after the game.
