Oaxaca picked up a win at Last Call Park, toppling the Tabasco Tacos, 6-3. Pitcher Paxton Aston was one of the reasons the Cervezas triumphed. Aston, now 4-4, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. Nehomar Leyva nailed down his 17th save.

Oaxaca took a 6-3 lead on Anastasio Cordero's 1st triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Cordero hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tabasco pitcher Nichel Sarzo visibly frustrated.

"Paxton was able to execute his pitches," said Oaxaca manager Sebastian Spring. "Simple as that."

With the victory, the Cervezas upped their record to 37-36.
