Mitchell, Tides Sink Mud Hens Again in Game 2
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman Evan Mitchell, the Norfolk Tides got a road win against the Toledo Mud Hens, 8-4, in Game 2 of the Regional Championship Series today. Mitchell was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Tides, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.
Daryn Webber, the 24-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Webber contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Norfolk up, 4-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Mitchell. "And not try to do too much."
The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 29th , 2052 at Harbor Park in Norfolk.
