The Chihuahua Aztecs beat the Oaxaca Cervezas by a score of 7-6. Chihuahua first baseman Jack Baker deserved the lion's share of the credit. Baker was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Aztecs. Chihuahua reliever Levi Lerch picked up the win to move to 7-0. Nehomar Leyva suffered the loss. Picking up the save was Cal Stuart, his 25th.

The critical at-bat for Chihuahua came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Baker drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Chihuahua up, 7-6.

"I still think this team can play even better," Baker told the Chihuahua Chronicle.
