Aztecs Sneak By Diablos Rojos, 6-5
|
The Chihuahua Aztecs gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Chihuahua Aztecs beat the Mexico City Diablos Rojos, 6-5, at Timeless Temple. Caton Tamez, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Chihuahua reliever Cal Stuart picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Ángel Sánchez took the loss.
Aaron Brady was the walk-off hero for Chihuahua. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aztecs center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Brady said.
Chihuahua, at 54-43, holds down first place in the La Liga Mexico NorthWest Division.
