The Texas Rangers got a strong 6 innings from right-hander Chris Riggs but failed to take Game 3 of the Skyline Championship Series from the Colorado Rockies. Riggs held the Rockies to no runs on 6 strong innings but Colorado took the game by a score of 4-1 and now lead the best-of-7 series, 2-1.

Walt Lininger helped out the Colorado cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Lininger.
