Getting a good performance from center fielder Torch Cardinale, the Tabasco Tacos defeated the Chihuahua Aztecs, 8-5. Cardinale was 4-6 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Tacos. Kerry Zheng got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Tabasco used a well-timed hit by C.J. Drake to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tacos ahead, 6-5. Though it was his only hit in 6 at-bats, it was important.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Drake said after the game.
