Extra-Inning Win by Padres Over Phillies
|
The San Diego Padres electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.
San Diego Padres starter Rudolph Ammons was in fine form against the Philadelphia Phillies at Petco Park, leading his team to a win, 3-2. The Padres improve their record to 27-41 with the win over Philadelphia.
The Padres procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Eric Ho. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
During his postgame press conference, Padres manager Devin Aaron told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"
