Behind Stevenson, Astros Beat Yankees, 3-0
|
The Houston Astros picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, courtesy of Robert Stevenson. The left-hander helped his team stop the New York Yankees, 3-0. Jason Phillips collected his 2nd save. At 34-35, the Astros find themselves in third place in the Western Region Central Division.
Stevenson made it look easy. He scattered 3 hits over 8.1 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The left-hander upped his season record to 5-4.
"Robert was throwing strikes, locating well," said Houston manager Norman Goguen.
