Minnesota wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Roberto Bush, falling to the Portland Hops, 1-0. Bush threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Vic Mallery recorded his 17th save for Portland. Portland now sits at 29-41, while Minnesota falls to 35-35.
Portland took a 1-0 lead on Hiroshi Takase's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Minnesota pitcher Roberto Bush in the top of the seventh.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Connor Sandstrom.
