The Toronto Blue Jays got a superb performance from pitcher Renny Leech. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Houston. The Astros won the game, 4-3. Leech threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Houston reliever Jordan Dozier picked up the win, upping his record to 4-7. Homer Covarrubias took the loss. The third-place Astros improved to 35-35.

The game came to an abrupt end with one out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Homer Covarrubias, Caleb England hit a run-scoring single. It gave Houston the 4-3 win.

"This place was rockin'," said England.
