Stan Davidson could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Chicago White Sox lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Texas Rangers at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Rangers benefited from an error in the top of the fifth inning. Texas was leading 1-0 when Gabriel Retana hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Texas in front, 3-0.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Retana told the Texas Citizen. "But we take nothing for granted."
