The Vancouver Cascades got a stellar performance from pitcher Julius Poole, who handcuffed the Milwaukee offense en route to a win, 4-0, at Royal Port Stadium. Poole, the winner, moves to 4-1. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. Hayden Nelson was called on to finish, recording his 12th save.

The Cascades got an important contribution from center fielder Asher Wurtz, who in the bottom of the second punched a first pitch changeup into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Cascades ahead, 3-0.

Wurtz said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.

With the win, the Cascades have a record of 42-29.
