The Minnesota Twins outlasted Roy Popko and the Portland Hops, 10-8. Popko was impressive in the loss. The Portland first baseman was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Brian Daniels. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 3-3. Minnesota's record now stands at 37-35, placing them third in the Eastern Region Great Lakes Division.

Minnesota grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Raul Cathey delivered a 2-run home run, to make it 10-8 in favor of the Twins.
