Indians Rally to Win, 3-2
|
The Cleveland Indians picked up a win at Tecumseh Field, knocking off the Fresno Falcons, 3-2, in 12 innings. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander Ted Carr. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Cleveland reliever Jacob Jozwiak was the winner. His record is now 6-1. The losing pitcher was Mike Peck. Cleveland improves to 44-30 with the win. They lead their division by 6 games.
The decisive blow was delivered by Feliz Batista in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 29-year old left-handed pitcher Alexandre Isabelle to win the game for Cleveland. The home crowd went nuts.
"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Batista told the Cleveland Times. "And padding the Cleveland win column."
