Fenway Park was the site for American League action featuring the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox.

The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Fenway Park, dropping the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-1. Lincoln Tolson was the difference-maker. The Red Sox raised their record to 29-45.

Tony Meinershagen had a big run-scoring double for the Red Sox in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Levi Peaslee and swatted a double to left. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 2-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Meinershagen said after the game.
