Vancouver left fielder Zachary Matthews had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Texas Rangers, 6-2. Vancouver has run its win streak to 4 straight.

Matthews had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 sinker from Maxwell Baxter, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Cascades a 5-2 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Matthews.

Said losing manager Kevin Hall: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
