London starter Cato Ambros pitched effectively against the California Angels at Kauffman Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. London now sits at 33-42, while California falls to 38-37.

Aden Crowe had a big 2-run double for the Royals in the bottom of the third inning. With London leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Jacob Musso, who is tied for 5th in the AL in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Royals ahead, 4-0.

"It's still just a game," said Crowe, "whether you win or lose."
