Orioles Pocket 6-4 Win Against Cincinnati
|
The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 6-4, in American League action at Great American Ball Park. Frank Combs pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Earning his 7th save of the year was Zak Vara. The Orioles move to 28-47 with the win, while the Reds drop to 45-30.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Combs hit a run-scoring single off Trevor Crawford. It propelled the Orioles into the lead, 1-0.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Combs.
