Late Rally Gets 2-1 Win for Blues
The Memphis Blues beat the Vancouver Cascades, 2-1, at Royal Port Stadium. Starting pitcher Leighton Rodriques was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Memphis is in second place in the Eastern Region Atlantic Division with a record of 39-37.

Memphis needed the clutch hitting of Alex Nicholson to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blues on top, 2-1. For the game, Nicholson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Roberto Rivas, the Memphis skipper. "This one tested us."
