Alex Emmery was superb against Bakersfield. The right-hander had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Storm victory. The score was 5-2. Hector McRoy locked down his 6th save. Lake Elsinore is now 11-13.

Rob Crisp dealt the Blaze a blow in the top of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Lake Elsinore leading 3-0, Crisp hit a 2-0 fastball for a 2-run single.
