Brewers Get Gritty, 4-3 Win
|
The Baltimore Orioles could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Aaron Willis into a win. Instead, the Milwaukee Brewers prevailed, 4-3. Willis threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. The 4th-place Brewers go to 38-43.
Milwaukee took a 4-3 lead on Lyle Lotz's 25th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Lotz hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Baltimore pitcher Paul McKay visibly frustrated.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Lotz told the Milwaukee Herald.
