Baltimore Beats Seattle, 7-2
|
The Baltimore Orioles got a good effort from starter Max Ibbotson in defeating the Seattle Mariners at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The final score was 7-2. Baltimore is now 34-47, while Seattle is 59-22.
Tony Goerner, who finished 2nd in the EAST in OPS with .941 last year, aided the Baltimore cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3 with a home run and a walk.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Goerner told the Baltimore News.
