Virginia parlayed a decent outing from starter Ethan McNeal into a solid win over the Vancouver Cascades. The final score was 6-2. The winner was McNeal. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Korey Sierra. With the win, the Black Bears have a record of 47-34.

Asher Duncan had a big 3-run home run for the Black Bears in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Virginia leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a cutter from Korey Sierra, who is tied for 3rd in the WEST in complete games with 1, and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Black Bears ahead, 4-0.
