The Portland Hops racked up a win at Blues Stadium, bumping off the Memphis Blues, 7-5. Fabian Galloway, who started for Portland, pitched effectively for his team. The Hops are now 32-49, while the Blues fall to 43-38.

Portland used a clutch hit from Hiroshi Takase to get the win. The left fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hops ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Takase said in reaction to the win.
